NANOWRIMO? Not me, I’m doing NABUMAKMO!
I’m actually taking time off from writing at the moment while I work on our family finances and budget. That means I’m taking part in NABUMAKMO (National Budget Making Month).
There really is no such thing as NABUMAKMO, but sometimes real life needs to be tended to. The time off has been good for me to evaluate my plot—as you can tell from my previous post!
For those of you who are participating in NANOWRIMO, it looks intriguing from the standpoint of learning to write steadily, which is very important to be a published author. I was amazed at Wayne Thomas Batson‘s output last month when he wrote 26,000 words in 11 days! If he kept up that pace for a full 31 days he would have over 73,000 words—almost a full novel!
I’m with you on the budget month. We have had so many meetings, I think I’m going batty!
I do have a schedule to get a manuscript finished by Mt. Hermon in March, though.
How far along are you on your manuscript? What kind of novel is it?
January and February sound like a good time to write sitting by a warm fire with the kids playing nearby.
